This January was warmest in over 14 years in Chandigarh

The average maximum temperature of 20.1°C was the highest since 2011, bringing a cosy vibe to the month; in contrast, January 2024 was remarkably colder, with the lowest average maximum temperature of 14.9°C in recent years, as per records readily available

AI system to track staff attendance in Chandigarh’s government schools

There are a total of 111 government schools in Chandigarh, where around 5,000 teachers are working in different capacities

A soft launch of the app was done on Thursday to fine tune the system as the system will now be officially launched and implemented Friday onwards. Chandigarh: After wettest January day in two years, gear up for a chilly, foggy Lohri

Chandigarh’s Air Quality Index (AQI), which had entered very poor on Thursday, is also starting to improve; as per the AQI daily bulletin released by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Chandigarh’s AQI on Sunday was 244, falling in the poor bracket

Chandigarh: Audit flags delay in paying 278-cr arrears owed to PU teachers

A one-time grant of ₹175.51 crore for the Seventh Central Pay Commission implementation to Panjab University was approved by the Union ministry in a letter sent on February 23, 2024

As per the report, it was observed that as the V-P visited the PU, Chandigarh, campus for Global Alumni Meet 2023 on December 23, five additional cameras were installed, on rent, on the campus for three days at an amount of ₹64,900

PU senate elections: Committee to submit recommendations

The committee has been constituted under the chairpersonship of RK Singla, former dean university instruction (DUI) of PU and will have two DSWs, an associate DSW and Rattan Singh of University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS)

PU to approach Dr Manmohan Singh’s family over his book donation promise
