The discovery was made possible using the Very Large Telescope (VLT) in Chile, operated by the European Southern Observatory (ESO)

This alignment is remarkably mirrored by a 260-kpc-long Lyman-alpha nebula emanating from the giant filament. The yellow star pinpoints the location of the background quasar, whose light served as a probe to measure the metallicity of the filament, confirming its primordial nature. (SOURCED)
