The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024, led by BJP MP Jagdambika Pal, will table its report in the parliament today. Pal had submitted the report to Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla on Thursday. The opposition has slammed the JPC chairperson for ‘stifling opposition voices’ while preparing the report.
A Bill to establish the Institute of Rural Management Anand as a university, to be known as the "Tribhuvan" Sahkari University Bill, and to declare it as an institution of national importance was introduced on Monday.
