10:16 AM IST …THE RUN CHASE…
10:12 AM IST The Hobart Hurricanes were not at their best with the ball. They leaked plenty of runs in the first half of the innings but took timely wickets post that which controlled the run-rate. Nathan Ellis took 3/42 while Mitchell Owen and Marcus Bean were impressive and took a wicket each. Riley Meredith had an off day as the southpaw went for 57 off his four overs. The Hurricanes need 202 to maintain their winning steak while the Heat are in a must-win situation. Who are you backing to come victorious at the end of this game? We shall find out. Join us in a bit for the second essay.
10:09 AM IST A solid batting effort from the Brisbane Heat helps them post an excellent score of 201/6 from their 20 overs. Having been sent into bat first, the Heat lost Nathan McSweeney early on but Khawaja gave them a blazing start and departed for a quick-fire 23. Matt Renshaw and Tom Alsop played crucial hands through the middle overs and kept the momentum but the star of the innings was Marnus Labuschagne who anchored the innings early and took on bowling in the latter stages to finish with an outstanding 77 off just 44 balls that took the Heat past the 200-run mark.
